Mary Jennings 1825 - 2026 Market Release

When you buy an antique sampler you sometimes never know how long it will take to figure out the story of the girl (or boy) who stitched it and what her life might have been like. Sometimes you encounter partial clues to her life’s narrative and other times nothing all. 

This happy sampler embodies a childhood filled with joy and a young girl who valued friendship.

Finished sampler measures 173W X 230H stitches.

Model stitched using all DMC except for one skein of Weeks Dye Works, one strand over two, on 40-count  Button Box Medium Dark linen from Mason Linens.

The design contains no speciality stitches; however, the verse is stitched one over one.
