Uree C. Fell 1856
Uree C. Fell was born December 28, 1816, in Buckingham, Bucks County, Pennsylvania, the fifth child of fifteen children born to Eli Fell and Rachel (Bradshaw) Fell. The Eli Fell family was a farming family living on the “Homestead” surrounded by other extended Fell family members. It is safe to assume Uree and her siblings grew up part of a much larger extended Fell family in the same county. Perhaps, the inclusion of a border of bright red cherries is a nod to an abundance of fruit trees that could have been part of the Homestead?
Church records and burial records indicate the extended Fell family were members of the Society of Friends, also known as Quakers. Uree was the sixth generation of Fell descendants born in the United States with initial descendants having immigrated from England.
